Charlie is a 62 year old ex accountant. Redundancy came his way 4 years ago as did the onset of the infirmities of age. Photography has always been a part of his life. He was born and raised in Albany, New York. In January 1971, he pulled up roots and migrated to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. During the mid 80's he spent three years living and working for his Australian employer on Bougainville Island in Papua New Guinea. In the early 90's he became a member of the Australian Photographic Society Inc. and Nikon Club Australia. It wasn't long before the photo competition/exhibition bug bit him. Within a couple of years his work gained acceptances throughout Australia and Europe at National and International level. Since buying a PC, scanner and printer, the Internet became too much of a temptation for him so Charlie signed up and got busy on the keyboard searching for photo or image outlets. It didn't take long to locate a few Guest Gallery sites which now feature his work. Recently,the "OLD GEEZER" launched a modest website of his own.
